One year ago today, I started my journey of live-streaming on Twitch. I used the position to be able to bring my musical adventure to a platform that allows viewers to see how I create music in real-time. This not only helped to bring the musical process onto Twitch, which is lacking on the site, but it also allowed viewers to suggest things they’d want to hear in a track.

Over the past year, I’ve been able to build a community of just over 1,000 people on there. This is thanks, in part, to some wonderful support from other streamers, who often brought their community over to mine to support my stream. This community wouldn’t be what it is today without all the people who found the stream and ended up wanting to stay along for the ride. Because of you and your support, I am where I am musically today. The constant laughs and not having to think about making music all the time, being able to stop and communicate with a chat full of people willing to learn or just interact with me. All of that has made me progress more with my art than I would have if I just engulfed myself with working on music 24/7, with no downtime.

Alongside the community, this platform also led me to the love of my life. She was one of the first viewers in my community and she’s helped to build it just as much, if not more than I have been able to. Her constant support, push to be better and willingness to keep everything in check in the chat while I stream has made the past year so much smoother of an experience.

Thank you, to everyone on Twitch who’s welcomed me with open arms and kept me company in times where I just needed to let out my emotions or just needed people to talk to. Thank you for being so receptive and supportive of every piece of art I’ve worked on while streaming. Thank you for your opinions, your suggestions and your help with building this community into what it is. Thank you to the streamers who have hosted me, raided me, shouted me out on their streams – you have allowed people from your communities to join mine, and I will forever be grateful of that. Thank you to those who decided to donate to me, whether that was $1 or more – donating is optional and the fact you wanted to further support the stream means the world to me. Your donations have allowed me to upgrade my computer, upgrade my audio equipment, upgrade the stream quality and afford to attend TwitchCon this October in Long Beach, California.

Thank you for everything you all have done to support me. I can’t express just how grateful I am to have all of you be a part of this journey.
